Borrow a Bike at Brussels Central Station
Want to borrow a bike from Brussels-Central? We will be happy to help you on your way!
Borrowing a bike:
- Go to the key distributor and borrow a key with your Blue-bike card
- Go to the bicycle shed – you can open the gate with the badge attached to your keys
- The gate closes behind you
- Unlock your bike and return to the gate
- Lock your bike and scan your badge to open the gate
- The gate will stay open while you unlock your bike and go outside
- The gate closes behind you – you can start cycling
Returning a bike:
- Ride your Blue-bike to the gate and lock your bike
- Open the gate with the badge attached to your keys
- The gate will stay open while you unlock your bike and go inside
- The gate closes behind you
- Put your Blue-bike in the bike rack and lock it
- Go to the gate and scan the badge to open it
- The door closes behind you
- Return your key to the distributor to end your ride
Where can I find the key distributor?
Follow exit Madeleine (towards Grand Place). Just before this exit you’ll find the distributor, opposite the entrance to the guarded bicycle parking area.
Where can I find Blue-bike’s bicycle parking?
After borrowing your key, you will find your Blue-bike in the guarded bicycle parking area. The entrance door to the parking area is opposite the key machine. You can use your Blue-bike keys to open the access door (scan your key fob on the reader next to the door).
ATTENTION: Keep in mind the opening hours of the station and the various entrances and exits:
4.30 – 20.00 h: entrance/exit Madeleine opened – this is the easiest entrance/exit with your Blue-bike.
20.00 – 00.30 h: main entrance Carrefour de l’Europe – in the corner next to the ticket offices, you can use the lift if necessary.
00.30 – 4.30 h: the station is completely closed and our Blue-bike location is not accessible.
