Blue-bike Leuven
Our E-bikes in Leuven got off to a flying start. That’s why we are expanding our fleet to 56 new electric Blue-bike share bikes. You will find them at 7 different locations in Leuven connecting interesting workplaces with each other, with the city centre and with the station. They are the ideal complement to the current 200 non-electric Blue-bikes at the Leuven, Heverlee and Wijgmaal stations.
How does the Blue-bike shared bike system work in Leuven?
The 56 e-bikes work with a back-to-many (B2M) system. In Leuven, you can borrow the e-bikes at 7 locations (see map/table) and you can also return them at any of these locations at no extra cost. This is ideal when you combine your bike ride with bus, carpool, train…
The non-electric Blue-bikes will continue to work with a back-to-one (B2O) system. This involves returning the bike to the start location, otherwise you pay extra fees.
Pricing
You must first become a member of Blue-bike. You can do that for 12 euros a year. After that, you pay for a ride up to 30 minutes or up to 24 hours.

Do you ride for longer? In that case, general fares and surcharges will apply. Additional payment options and new pricing formulas will be introduced by the end of 2024.
Locations
You can rent e-bikes from Blue-bike at 7 different locations in Leuven. Unlike Blue-bike city bikes in Leuven, you can leave your e-bike in Leuven at no extra cost at any of the below E-bike locations within the city zone. You can recognise them on the map in the app by the pink lightning bolt.
