Blue-bike in Vervoerregio Leuven

The Leuven transport region is fully committed to sustainable mobility. Together with Blue-bike and Interleuven, an ambitious bike-sharing network is being rolled out: more than 700 Blue-bikes, including 240 e-bikes, spread across 62 locations in 31 cities and municipalities.

A dense network for everyone

Thanks to this expansion, every resident and visitor to the Leuven transport region now has a Blue-bike within cycling distance.

  • 62 locations in 31 cities and municipalities
  • 700 bicycles, including 240 e-bikes

With the rollout, 40 additional Hoppin points will also be equipped with Blue-bikes. A Hoppin point combines various means of transport, such as bus, train, (shared) bicycle, or (shared) car, so you can easily switch between them.

Back-to-many: flexible cycling in the region

The Leuven transport region is switching completely to a back-to-many system. This means that you can pick up a bike at one location and leave it at another Blue-bike point in the transport region at no extra cost.

This offers greater flexibility, ideal for commuting, school, hospital visits, or recreational rides.
