The FTI Festival is touring through Flanders this autumn with 8 cities, more than 100 events and more than 1,000 innovations. Mechelen forms the central beating heart of the festival.

Mobility NEXT: how will we move in the future?
Our mobility is changing rapidly. From connected vehicles and smart traffic lights to artificial intelligence, mobility data and autonomous shuttles: technology creates ever new possibilities to make our journeys smarter, safer and more sustainable.
During Mobility NEXT on October 28, 2026 policy makers, local authorities, mobility experts, technology companies, researchers and innovators come together to look at how today’s innovations can be translated into the mobility and infrastructure of tomorrow. The event takes place from 12 to 20 hours in the Nekkerhal in Mechelen.
