Unwind in the villages around Mechelen and enjoy all the beauty that the ‘City on the Dyle’ has to offer. This junction route takes you along the Deile to Walem, where you can get off for a short walk to the fort. You’ll then continue on to Heffen and the Zennegat. You’ll cycle along quiet roads, so you can fully take in the scenery. Via Battel, you’ll cycle back towards the centre of Mechelen, where you can round off your ride with a well-deserved Gouden Carolus.
This route is 35 kilometres long and has an optional 4-kilometre walk in Walem. The start and end location is at the city of Mechelen's tourist information office (Vleeshouwersstraat 6).
