From our own fiets fleet to shared mobility
For many years, Telenet Group managed its own fiets fleet for staff. An efficient solution on paper, but in practice this presented a number of challenges. Lost keys, maintenance, administrative follow-up and the management of available fietss were taking up more and more time and resources.
That is why Telenet Group went looking for a smarter and more sustainable solution. They found it at Blue-bike.
Less administration, more ease of use
By switching to Blue-bike, Telenet Group no longer needs to deal with the day-to-day management of its own bike fleet. Staff can easily hire a bike via the Blue-bike app, whilst Blue-bike takes care of maintenance, availability and operational monitoring.
For the organisation, that means less administration and more focus on its core tasks. For employees, it means a user-friendly and reliable mobility solution.
First in Belgium
Furthermore, Telenet Group made history as the first company in Belgium with a Blue-bike location on its own corporate site in Mechelen.
This makes fietsen a logical link in the commute and in journeys between different locations. To provide employees with an extra incentive, Telenet Group also reimburses commuters for their Blue-bike journeys.
Smart connectivity thanks to back-to-many
To make getting around Mechelen even easier, all Blue-bike locations in the city have been incorporated into what is known as a back-to-many zone.
This means that users can collect a bike from one location and return it to another Blue-bike location within the same zone at no extra cost.
This flexibility makes it easy to travel between the Telenet offices, Mechelen stations and the city centre.
