How does that work?

In 2019, the 300 Flemish cities and municipalities were divided into 15 transport regions. Within such a region, local authorities help drive the approach to mobility challenges in their area. Each transport region uses a Regional Mobility Plan for this purpose.
Blue-bike plays an active role in this. In close collaboration with local authorities, our fietsen bikes are included in the âVervoer op Maatâ scheme. Youâll find them at train stations, bus stops and Hoppin points.

Hubs where buses, trains, shared transport (fiets) and car-sharing come together. Change services without a detour.

Ghent has switched to a flexible back-to-many system: you can end your journey at another Blue-bike station within the zone at no extra cost. E-bikes are also available at most locations.

In Limburg, youâll find fietsen at Hoppin points in sixteen towns and municipalities. There are at least eight fietsen at each location, with up to sixteen in Hasselt, Genk and Sint-Truiden.
